Truncate My Political Ambition If It Will Not Benefit Others, Abe Asks God
In what has been described as an oath before God, the Peoples Democratic Party candidate for Rivers South East Senatorial District, Hon. Magnus Ngei Abe has asked God to truncate his political ambition if it will not benefit others.
He stated this during the first diocesan prayer of the Diocese of Ogoni, Anglican Communion in Kpite,Tai local government area of Rivers State.
Hon. Abe added that he would want to be remembered as a man of honour and peace, insisting that his followers must adhere to similar position since according to him “we must enshrine peace in our various communities”.
The senatorial candidate advised his followers against action that could impinge on electoral tenets as we approach the general elections, stressing that anybody caught will face the law.
Hon. Abe explained that he has not been involved in electoral violence in his political career, emphasizing that God has always been there for him.
“It could take time, it could be a struggle, but with God especially when you are doing the right thing you will succeed”, he declared.
The former Secretary to Rivers State Government extolled the virtues of Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi, disclosing that the governor’s achievements so far were enough campaign tools for re-election.
He said “no other civilian government in Rivers State can point at the thing that Amaechi’s administration can point. So we know we’ll win,but we need God, after spending several successful years in politics, positions no longer mean anything to us”
Hon. Abe prayed God to grant him the strength and grace to add value to mankind towards achieving the name good man at the end of his political sojourn.
Signed
